2. Embody a Wide Range of Characters
Discover and develop a variety of acting techniques to bring memorable characters to life. From highly physical performances to more subtle and emotionally engaging acting styles, you will explore different approaches to character creation and learn to perform with authenticity, commitment, and confidence—just like a traditional actor.

3. The Fundamentals of Storytelling
Learn the essential principles behind compelling stories and successful scenes. Discover what makes a scenario engaging, how to build strong narratives, create believable characters, develop conflict, and keep an audience invested from beginning to end.
4. An Improv Show
To celebrate everything you’ve learned throughout the year, the group may have the opportunity to perform in a public improv show if everyone feels ready. The performance will take place in a supportive and friendly atmosphere, with an audience mainly made up of your friends, family, and colleagues—a fun and rewarding way to step on stage and share your progress.

MEET YOUR TRAINERS
Andreas Ventouras is the founder of Stand’Impro, which he established in 2013. Since then, he has been training professionals in communication and public speaking while regularly performing on stage as an improviser.
For four years, Andreas performed in Impro Talent at Uptown Geneva alongside some of the leading improvisers from Paris, Lyon, and Brussels. He has also been performing for over 13 years at Le Chat Noir in Carouge with the Stand’Impro Show, which has enjoyed sold-out performances year after year.
« My goal is to bring together people from diverse cultural backgrounds. English becomes the bridge that connects us all. I believe improvisation is one of the best ways to have fun while learning to communicate in a multilingual environment. I’m convinced that this challenge creates a unique and rewarding experience for everyone. »

Yoav Hougui has been a trainer and performer with Stand’Impro for four years. A charismatic trainer and tireless performer, Yoav performs regularly at Le Chat Noir, and facilitates workshops for corporate clients and team-building events.
Born and raised in Geneva, Yoav has lived in Canada, the United States, and Japan — and carries that international upbringing with him into every room he enters. He came to improv through theater, and when he discovered it, something clicked. The spontaneity, the listening, the collective energy — it matched the way he’d always navigated the world. For him, “yes, and” is a way of moving through life.
